A tribute to the hero. A hero with class who rest in peace, because heroes never die 💙

"𝓗𝓪𝓶𝓮𝓼𝓱𝓪 𝓲𝓷𝓼𝓪𝓪𝓷 𝓰𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓽 𝓷𝓪𝓱𝓲 𝓱𝓸𝓽𝓪 𝓴𝓪𝓫𝓱𝓲 𝓴𝓪𝓫𝓱𝓲 𝔀𝓪𝓺𝓽 𝓫𝓱𝓲 𝓰𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓽 𝓱𝓸𝓽𝓪 𝓱𝓪𝓲 ”

2020, you were atrocious without a doubt but then you left no page unturned to make us feel blue. You began with the proposition of humans fighting against humans for power, as soon as we tried overcoming it, you made us confront nature and even when we are yet to get over that you started purloining our loved ones.

Out of all the great souls, this time it's Irrfan Khan, one of the finest actors Indian Cinema gifted us. Irrfan Khan’s film career was beyond perfection, his flawless acting, his ‘so-real’ expressions, his comic timing and not to forget his calm personality. He was a powerful force to reckon with. His each movie taught us something, his each role made us explore a new dimension of life, his characters were more real than reality itself. I wa baffled with *sajan Fernandes* (The Lunchbox), how wonderfully he fell in love with a woman without even seeing her and then stepping back looking into the consequences, the film left the audience at an open end and i was was of those spectator who kept wondering, “did they meet?? *Rana Chaudhary*(Piku) is probably the man every girl wants in her life, impatient yet calm and his efforts to make Piku happy and strong. *Raj Batra*(Hindi Medium) is every father and husband out there struggling hard to put things together, to make his family happy, give his daughter a bright future and yet not forget the ethics of life and humanity and not lose his conscience. *Monty*(Life in A metro) is a guy whom we have encountered at least once in our life, who likes a girl, wants to get married but ends up getting dejected or friendzoned. Well, Monty was lucky enough to get his girl back though. *Champak Bansal*(Angreji Medium) is undoubtedly our father whom we see everyday trying hard to make the two ends meet yet fulfilling all our wishes unconditionally. I always relate *Ashoke Ganguli*(The Namesake) with my uncle next door who shifted abroad a few years back, the inner dilemma, the culture variations and growing up kids in a foreign country yet trying to bind him to his roots was so real.

Aren't they real? Don't we see each of these characters around us everyday? Not to forget *Maqbool*, *Roohdaar* (Haider) , *Shaukat*(Karwaan), *Wali Khan*(D-Day),and the list goes on and on, we lived in these roles, what we call dramatically ‘larger than life’ characters. One of his Masterpiece roles in and as *Paan Singh Tomar*, where he went through drastic physical for just a character, for just a 2hr- long movie and that’s exactly where he became an actor and not a hero. In this world of six-packs, bare body and VFX, this mediocre looking man not only rocked bollywood, Hollywood too with his tremendous acting, who can forget “Life of Pi”, The Amazing Spiderman,Puzzle and a few more.

The man who kept serving the industry for two long decades,Today when I look back to his movies and dialogues, Suddenly they start making more sense. Remember, when he said , “ 𝓝𝓮𝓮𝓷𝓭 𝓜𝓪𝓼𝓱𝓸𝓸𝓴𝓪 𝓴𝓲 𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓱 𝓱𝓸𝓽𝓲 𝓱𝓪𝓲….𝔀𝓪𝓺𝓽 𝓷𝓪 𝓭𝓸 𝓽𝓸𝓱 𝓫𝓾𝓻𝓪 𝓶𝓪𝓪𝓷𝓴𝓮 𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓵𝓲 𝓳𝓪𝓪𝓽𝓲 𝓱𝓪𝓲….” and I feel he was just talking about himself. In this generation of Khans we forgot there was one another Khan giving heights to Indian cinema. I know we can’t have you back, I wish Red Skull was real to take my soul to return your great soul but I know Reality is often disappointing. Your demise has broken our hearts but your legacy will continue in the coming generations through your masterpieces. Amidst all the Heroes, You were an actor irrfan, be the Brightest Star so that your love shines down to let us know, you are happy.
